Feature & Follow #14

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read.

Q: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks, paperback etc?

My absolute favorite is Hardcover. There's just something about reading a printed book that beats an eBook every time. The weight of the book, the feel of the pages... Heaven! If it's available in hardcover then that is the format I buy. Thank goodness for the book club I belong to, and their twice a year buy one get one free sales, and my Barnes & Noble membership or I would be completely broke! What can I say? I'm a cheap snob. My snobbish side gets the hardcover books and my cheap side pays full price for nothing. photo smiley.png

If my only options are paperback or an eBook, then I pick an eBook. Their are couple of reasons why. Space is an issue. I already have stacks of hardcovers, I do not need to be swimming in a sea of paperbacks too. I like to read paperbacks the proper way, with complete disregard to the spines. Bending the pages back so you're only looking at half the book. Needless to say durability is an issue. I love my Nook though. I have almost 200 books on it and couldn't be happier.

  4. While I love print, and beautiful covers, ebooks are currently winning just due to the amount of books I can carry around with me. I may be a book hoarder.

  5. I love the beautiful covers on a hardback. Ebooks can't replace that, but I do like the convenience of them. New bloglovin follower (old GFC though) Happy Friday!
